The Sacred Forests Conscious Art Experience invites you to pause and engage your imagination. Each image serves as a conduit for healing, a charm for protection, and a gateway to curiosity. Spending time with each image will reveal your inner healer's journey, supported by the mystical beings that inhabit these portals.
Arleta, the creator of these images, begins by tapping into her intuition and grounding herself during walking meditation. Once she arrives at the energy center within the forest, she captures the images that speak to her through her felt sense. She then brings these images to her digital laboratory, where she explores them through mirror and origami codes, often while breastfeeding her son. This process leads to the emergence of the portal and its magical inhabitants.
The Sacred Forests collection is part of Arleta's ongoing research project into Conscious Art and the Minds Eye. The collection aims to provoke questions such as "What do you see?" and "How does it make you feel?".
How do I know if a Portal is for me?
The Invitation: Take a deep breath (close and consider where you want to be (metaphorically, physically, etc) right now in your life. It can be multiple places at once. Then consider if this portal speaks to that vision.

I respectfully acknowledge the privilege I have in living, working and playing on the unceded territory of the K’omoks First Nation. Traditional keepers of this land include the Pentlatch, E’iksan & K’omoks, as well as, the Tseshaht and Te'mexw, and I acknowledge their care and ancestral connections to the ‘land of plenty’ since time immemorial. These portals were discovered on these sacred lands, and being held in honour of the Old Growth Wisdom that continues to reside here.
